About TranscriptFetch

TranscriptFetch is an API that returns timestamped transcripts from video and audio sources, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and podcasts from Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or RSS episode links. All sources return the same JSON response shape with per-segment text and start times. When platform captions are unavailable, the service transcribes the audio with AI instead, and it can also resolve a YouTube channel or playlist into a paginated list of videos.

The API is intended for developers building AI pipelines, agents, or RAG applications that need transcript data from social and podcast platforms without maintaining separate scrapers per source. It is also reachable through a hosted MCP server and prebuilt integrations for n8n, Make, Zapier, Cursor, VS Code, Claude, and ChatGPT, and Python and Node SDKs are available.

Pricing includes a free tier of 100 credits per month with no card required, and paid plans: Basic at $5/month for 500 credits, Pro at $15/month for 5,000 credits with concurrent batch jobs and MCP server access, and Mega at $45/month for 50,000 credits. One credit equals one successful fetch; failed or empty requests are not billed, and unused credits roll over. Additional credits can be purchased at $10 per 1,000.
