About Sublime Text

Sublime Text is a cross-platform text editor for code, markup, and prose, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux (including Apple Silicon and Linux ARM64 builds). It renders its interface using the GPU on all three platforms and includes a rewritten syntax highlighting engine that supports non-deterministic grammars, multi-line constructs, lazy embeds, and syntax inheritance, along with reduced memory usage and faster load times.

The editor provides context-aware auto-complete based on existing code in a project, with completions that include kind information and links to definitions. Navigation features include Goto Anything, Goto Definition, Goto Reference, and Goto Symbol in Project, with side-by-side viewing of definitions. Tab Multi-Select allows splitting the interface to view multiple tabs at once across the side bar, tab bar, and navigation commands. Multiple selection editing (e.g., selecting and editing repeated occurrences of a word) is also supported.

Sublime Text ships with TypeScript, JSX, and TSX language support by default and exposes a Python 3.8 plugin API that maintains backward compatibility with Sublime Text 3 packages, with expanded features supporting plugins like LSP. It is developed by Sublime HQ Pty Ltd, based in Woollahra, Sydney, and is part of a product family that also includes Sublime Merge, a Git client.
