About Python For Everybody

Python for Everybody is a free, open online course and set of materials—lectures, a book, and assignments—for learning to program in Python. Logging in to the site enrolls a user in a global open course with a grade book, autograded assignments, discussion forums, and badges. The same course is also offered through Coursera, edX, FutureLearn, and FreeCodeCamp.

The site's code, including autograders, slides, and course content, is available on GitHub, allowing others to copy, publish, remix, or translate the course. Materials can be downloaded, linked to, exported as an IMS Common Cartridge, or connected to an external LMS via an IMS Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) key and secret. The underlying autograder and LMS functionality is built on the Tsugi framework, created by Charles R. Severance.

This resource is intended for students learning Python programming, as well as educators or institutions wanting to adopt, adapt, or translate the course materials for their own use.
