About ExtendsClass

ExtendsClass CSV Generator is a browser-based tool for creating randomized CSV, SQL, and JSON datasets for testing and development purposes. Users define a set of fields, assign each a data type (such as GUID, index, random integer, random float, date, regular expression, custom expression, first name, last name, city, country, country code, choice from a word list, Lorem Ipsum, or a custom JavaScript function), and configure formatting options like delimiter, quote character, escape character, line ending, and whether to include a header row. The tool can generate multiple files at once, bundled into a single ZIP archive, and supports output as CSV/TSV, SQL insert statements (with an option to include a CREATE TABLE statement), or JSON.

Registered users can save field configurations as reusable templates, avoiding the need to reconfigure columns for repeat generation. An API is available for programmatic generation of CSV/SQL data from saved templates via a POST request authenticated with an API key, limited to 200 requests per day and 5000 rows per call; the custom JavaScript function data type is not available through the API for safety reasons.

The tool is aimed at developers who need mock or sample data for populating databases, testing applications, or working with structured file formats. It is open source, with source code available for download.
