Domainee is a REST API and MCP server that lets SaaS products offer custom domain support to their customers. A single API call takes a hostname and origin URL and returns a CNAME record for the customer to add at their registrar; Domainee then issues and renews SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt, monitors DNS health, and fires webhooks on DNS state changes. It supports both apex and subdomain configurations and offers a separate endpoint for purchasing domains on behalf of users, with the user set as the legal registrant and billing routed through the SaaS's Stripe account.

The service targets engineering teams managing between 50 and 5,000 customer hostnames, solo founders and indie hackers adding a custom-domain feature without upfront infrastructure work, agencies managing multiple client workspaces under one API key, and developers building with AI coding tools who can drive domain provisioning through the MCP server using Cursor or Claude Code.

The free tier includes 50 custom domains and 100 GB of bandwidth per month with no card required. Paid usage is billed at $0.20 per domain per month, graduated down to $0.10 per domain at 10,000+ domains, plus $0.05 per GB of bandwidth beyond 400 GB included with a paid subscription.
