About Quokka.js

Quokka.js is an editor extension that runs JavaScript and TypeScript code with instant feedback, displaying runtime values, console logs, and error messages inline as the developer types. It integrates directly into VS Code, WebStorm, or Sublime, avoiding the context switch of separate REPL tools or standalone playgrounds, and supports importing and running files and modules from the developer's own project. It requires no configuration to start and includes features such as live code coverage indicators in the editor gutter, context-aware code snippets ("Snaps") that work in Vue.js single file components and Svelte files, logpoints for viewing values without modifying code, a Time Machine for stepping forward and backward through code execution, an interactive timeline of function and code line transitions, a CPU profiler, and quick package installation from within the editor.

The product is built by the Wallaby.js team and shares underlying technology with Wallaby.js. A free "Community" edition is available to all users, while a commercial "Pro" edition adds further features, including displaying and exploring runtime values without modifying code, interactive runtime value graphs, a value explorer treeview for non-primitive values, and a code-sharing feature called Codeclip.

The tool is aimed at JavaScript and TypeScript developers who want rapid prototyping, in-editor experimentation, and a learning aid for testing language features without leaving their development environment.
