Agent-first image hosting on the Cloudflare edge. Uploads return a raw image URL that AI coding agents can fetch, plus on-the-fly transforms. Free tier.
PixelVault is an API-first image hosting service aimed at developers and AI coding agents. Registration, project setup, API key generation, and uploads are all handled through HTTP endpoints, with an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, idempotent uploads, an llms.txt file, and a .well-known/api-catalog entry intended to let AI agents discover and use the service without human interaction through a browser. It also offers a CLI, a Claude Code plugin/skill, and a desktop menu-bar app that copies screenshots to a hosted URL on the clipboard.
Uploaded images are served from a CDN, with on-the-fly transforms (resize, crop, format conversion to WebP/AVIF, blur, grayscale, rotation, watermarking) and AI-based background removal available via URL query parameters on every plan. The service also provides a paste-and-host embed (a script tag or React/Vue hook with a publishable key) for adding image upload handling to a textarea in another application. Data is stored at rest in the EU (Cloudflare R2 EU plus an EU Postgres database), and the site states it uses cookieless analytics with no tracking cookies or consent banner.
The free tier includes 200 MB storage, 500 uploads per month, and 1 GB bandwidth, with no credit card required and no trial expiry; the service states it charges no egress/bandwidth fees for serving images. Users can export all images in a project along with a manifest.json as a tar archive from the dashboard or via a CLI export command, on every plan. PixelVault is built by RumboLabs.
