ApexToWWW is a free DNS-based redirect service that forwards traffic from an apex (root) domain to its www subdomain. It works by having the domain owner add one A record and one AAAA record pointing to ApexToWWW's servers; the service then issues a 301 permanent redirect to the equivalent www URL, preserving the full path, query string, and fragments. SSL certificates for the apex domain are provisioned and renewed automatically via Let's Encrypt, and the service supports HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3 over both IPv4 and IPv6.

The service is aimed at developers and site owners using hosting platforms that require a CNAME record on the www subdomain, such as GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel, Heroku, Firebase Hosting, AWS CloudFront, Render, and Fly.io, since apex domains cannot use CNAME records. It requires no signup, account, or configuration files, and DNS changes typically propagate within 5-30 minutes, though propagation can take up to 48 hours.

ApexToWWW is free with no usage limits, no premium tiers, and no account requirement. Wildcard apex domains are not supported on the free tier. The service is operated by Sandbox.ventures, based in Aarhus, Denmark.
