About PromptPlanner

PromptPlanner is a macOS application for organizing and reusing AI prompts across projects. It stores prompts as boards containing vertical project lanes, each with its own goal and backlog of plain-text cards. Users click a card to copy its prompt to the clipboard, or copy an entire project as a structured system prompt that includes the goal and remaining tasks; completed cards can be marked done to keep active boards clean.

The application supports recurring prompt templates on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, for use cases such as weekly reviews, tax administration, release prep, content planning, backlog grooming, and architecture checks. It also includes an analytics view that tracks created and completed cards across boards and projects, showing completion rate and active backlog to indicate where work is moving or piling up.

PromptPlanner runs as a native macOS app, accessible from the menu bar and Dock and via Cmd+Tab, and requires macOS 14.6 or later. Data is stored locally on the Mac. It is designed for briefing AI assistants including Codex, Claude, Gemini, and Cursor, and supports orchestrating multiple AI agents in parallel by keeping each project's remaining prompts and context separate.
