About freeCodeCamp

freeCodeCamp is a free, project-based online learning platform for programming, DevOps, cybersecurity, AI engineering, and English for developers. It is operated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is entirely free, including its courses, projects, and certifications. The curriculum covers languages and tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Linux, Git, and SQL, along with libraries for web development, mobile app development, data science, and artificial intelligence, delivered through browser-based, step-by-step projects.

The platform offers a linear core curriculum with certifications including Responsive Web Design, JavaScript, Front-End Development Libraries, Python, Relational Databases, and Back-End Development and APIs, culminating in a Certified Full-Stack Developer track. It also provides English for Developers certifications (A2 and B1, both in beta), Professional Spanish and Chinese certifications (A1, beta), and a free Foundational C# certification with Microsoft. Certifications are earned by completing five certification projects per track and passing all associated project tests.

freeCodeCamp is aimed at people learning to code from beginner through advanced levels, including career changers preparing for developer job searches, supported by resources such as coding interview prep material, a community of students, alumni, and educators, and a large library of supplementary books, courses, and tutorials accessible via search.
