Font Awesome is an icon library and toolkit offering over 60,000 icons across more than 30 styles, including a Classic set with Solid, Regular, Light, and Thin variants. Icons can be added to a site or application through a Kit, which is embedded with a single line of code and allows management of the icon library, custom uploads, and settings from one place. The product also includes an Icon Wizard for combining and remixing icons to create new ones, custom icon upload support, and a set of built-in animation styles (including Beat, Fade, Bounce, Flip, Spin, and others).

The library integrates with common frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, WordPress, and Ember, and can be used with any build system or without one. It also provides agent skills and a CLI intended for use with AI coding tools, allowing those tools to search for and insert icons into a project, including support for searching a user's own Kits and custom icons.

Font Awesome is used by both individual developers and teams building websites and applications. It offers a free tier (a free Kit with 10,000 pageviews, no credit card required) alongside paid plans — Starter, Solo, and Team — which differ in the number of icon packs, custom icons, Kits, and pageviews included, with higher tiers unlocking additional Pro and Pro+ icon packs. The core Font Awesome icon set has been open source since 2012.
