Brainboard is a cloud infrastructure management platform that combines a visual, collaborative architecture designer with automatic Terraform and OpenTofu code generation. Users design multi-cloud infrastructure diagrams on a shared canvas, and the platform generates the corresponding Terraform code as they build. It includes a central repository for Terraform and OpenTofu modules, GitOps integration for connecting infrastructure to git repositories, and drift detection to monitor differences between the source of truth and what is actually deployed on the cloud provider.

The platform supports synchronized architectures across environments such as dev, QA, staging, and production, aiming to eliminate configuration drift between them. It also offers a one-click migration path for teams moving from manually managed infrastructure to Infrastructure as Code, along with tools for standardizing IaC practices, building an internal self-serve service catalog for on-demand provisioning, and planning disaster recovery strategies.
